Lamborghini EVO - Pirelli P Zero

If you could predict one thing about a new supercar from Lamborghini it would be that it comes fitted with Pirelli’s high-performance, specifically fitted P Zero tyres.

Introducing the all new Lamborghini Huracan EVO.

Lamborghini EVO Pirelli P Zero

Arriving into Australia at the end of the year, the EVO, with an asking price of $459,441, is the latest to headline the Huracan range from Lamborghini. While performance specs are not confirmed, the EVO has been noted to be quicker than its record holding sibling, the track endorsed Perfamonte.

The Perfamonte held the Nurburgring track production car record before the Aventador SVJ broke it back in July 2018. The current track record is held by the Porsche 911 GT2 MR, with an astonishing 6:40:30 set in October 2018 - but will it last?

While every Huracan EVO will be fitted with standard Pirelli P Zeros, each buyer has the option of an upgrade to the more track ready P Zero Corsa. The P Zero Corsa has a high-performance compound, coupled with motorsport technologies and decades of research and development.

The 2019 EVO is an evolution of two vehicles, the LP640 and the Perfamonte. It is powered by a 5.2 Lt naturally aspirated V10 engine mounted in the mid rear of the car. Producing mind melting performance data of 0-100 in 2.9 seconds, 0-200km in 9 seconds and a top speed of over 325Kmh.

From every angle, you look at this car with a beautiful arching curve from tip to tip. Designers removed the large wing and instead replaced it with a very subtle yet effective rear foil that is embedded in the car’s rear window foil.

Creating more than 7 times the downforce, the aerodynamics of this car have been completely redesigned. The Lamborghini Huracan EVO has bigger vents, new rear diffuser and exhaust placement, an aggressive front bumper, new splitter and revised side vents.

While some big changes were made to the car’s chassis and exterior, Lamborghini combined its Vehicle Dynamics Control System with all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering for increased driver control, responsiveness and performance.

The EVO also comes with a brand new on-board electronic control system called Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI), which processes and predicts driver behaviour and anticipates the next move and adjusts all electronics to produce the best possible settings.

The Lamborghini Huracan EVO is more agile than ever - it can be driven in one of three modes, Strada, Sport and Corsa. This gives the driver a choice between track and road with the addition of Sport, which is intended to loosen the car up making it more ‘playful’.

So, as the car nears its voyage to Australia you only have one thing to do - decide on the standard Pirelli P Zero or P Zero Corsa. Fact is if you are thinking of pushing this car’s performance as it was intended, then the P Zero Corsa is the perfect fit. Pirelli’s P Zero Corsa was designed with track racing in mind and is embedded with motorsport technology.
